Forward to the youth! Laser rejuvenation gives the skin a second life

Using laser rejuvenation you can get rid of facial wrinkles

Laser rejuvenation is no longer something rare and mythical. Nowadays anyone can turn back the years they lived. However, not all people have reliable information about laser rejuvenation methods, as a result of which they make a mistake when choosing a procedure.

First of all, you need to understand the types of processes. There are two of them:

  • ablative;

  • non subtractive.

In turn, these types of effects are divided into:

  • solid (full);

  • fractional (incomplete).

Perhaps at first glance, these laser rejuvenation methods may seem similar, but this is far from the case. Only the result is the same: after correctly selected types of treatments, the skin becomes several years younger and looks really much better.

Non-ablative laser treatment works on the deep layers of the skin by heating them. The effect of laser beam energy on fibroblasts causes them to produce collagen and elastin at an accelerated rate. Microcirculation in the layers of the skin is also improved.

This method is most effective when:

  • scars and severe skin lesions.

  • widespread rashes;

  • hyperpigmentation and uneven complexion.

  • after acne;

  • stretch marks

Non-ablative treatment is based on erbium laser operation. Due to the specific wavelength (1550 nm), the upper layers of the skin are not affected, while the lower layers receive the necessary stimulation for restoration. As a result, most defects are eliminated.

Ablative laser treatment works a little differently. This method uses a carbon dioxide laser with a wavelength of 10600 nm. Impact occurs not only on the lower, but also on the upper layers of the skin. Using the ablative method, the texture of the skin is smoothed and a lifting effect is achieved. Valid for:

  • wrinkles around the eyes, small facial wrinkles.

  • decreased skin tone;

  • pigmentation disorders.

It is worth noting that the recovery period after this procedure will be slightly longer, since larger volumes of skin are exposed than with the non-ablative method.

Despite the differences, the essence of the two methods is the same. Using the energy of the laser beam, the water in the dermis is heated and literally evaporates. At the same time, the synthesis of collagen and elastin, which are necessary for rejuvenation, is launched.

Fractional and continuous laser exposure

Although they give roughly the same results, these two methods have significant differences.

With continuous laser treatment, the laser affects the skin in a large area. However, due to the very high risk of scarring and long recovery times, this type of laser treatment is no longer used anywhere.

In another case, the laser is split into many small beams that form a grating. Thus, the laser, interacting with only 20% of the skin area, achieves a 100% rejuvenation effect. This method is more modern and safe, with its use the recovery time is significantly reduced.

Laser photoregeneration

This rejuvenation technique, like non-ablative, works with the deep layers of the skin. But they are by no means the same or interchangeable.

The best laser beams "ignore" the dermis almost completely, but have an excellent effect on the nerve endings in the skin, which give the body a signal for cell renewal. Fine wrinkles disappear, skin tone is restored.

Laser photoresurfacing uses devices such as KTP (wavelength 532 nm) and ND: Yag (wavelength 1064 nm). Thanks to these parameters, laser radiation is perfectly absorbed by hemoglobin and melanin molecules, which are responsible for skin pigmentation. At the same time, water molecules are practically not heated. For these reasons, laser photoresurfacing is an extremely effective tool for correcting skin color and fighting vascular networks in it.

This technique does not require a long recovery period and anesthesia.

After all

Each laser skin resurfacing method has its own unique characteristics that greatly affect the final result. It is necessary to carefully choose a technique so that resuscitation is not only easy and effective, but also a safe procedure.

It is worth knowing that some cosmetologists do not disclose to the client all the features of this procedure and choose a device for laser treatment on the principle of "what is available". To avoid this, you should contact experienced specialists with experience that has proven positive throughout the entire period of work.
